A man from Lincoln who punched a pet shop worker and pushed her to the floor has been jailed for six years.

25-year-old Nathan Lewis, of Coleridge Gardens, pleaded guilty to robbery and breaching his criminal behaviour order.

The court heard how on 25th November 2025, Lewis entered Rovers Return Pet Shop on Wolsey Way and put cat treats in a bag.

When challenged by the shop worker, Lewis punched her repeatedly and pushed her to the floor.

The victim suffered injuries to her head, leg and hand during the attack.

He was arrested the next day.

Lewis already had a CBO which prevented him from entering any retail store in Lincoln, except for Poundland on the High Street and the Co-Op on Monks Road.

He was given a five-year sentence for the robbery, and one year for breaching his CBO.
