Man seriously assaulted in Lincoln

It's thought a power tool was used

A man in his 30's has reportedly been assaulted with a power tool by three men in Lincoln.

He was found with significant injuries by officers.

During routine patrols on Monks road in the early hours of this morning (12.40am Monday 13th March) Police found a man with injuries to multiple parts of his body.

He's been taken to hospital for treatment, his injuries are described as serious but not life-threatening.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and woman has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Both remain in police custody.

It's believed to be an isolated incident and that the people involved were known to each other

The assault is believed to have taken place outside a property in Winn Street.

Officers and forensic investigators remain on scene at Winn Street and Lytton Street and the surrounding areas carrying out further enquiries, and are expected to be there for most of today.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to get in touch with them.
