Man in his 70s dies in Heighington road collision

Motorcyclist pronounced dead after leaving Branston Road

A man has died following a road traffic collision in Heighington on the morning of Thursday, 16 October.

Emergency services were called shortly after 7.50am to Branston Road, between Branston and Heighington, after reports that a red Yamaha motorbike had left the road while travelling towards Branston.

The rider, a man in his 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say his family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

Branston Road was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
