Man in his 20s dies following collision on A17 Sleaford Road

A young man from the Newark area has died in a vehicle collision on the A17 Sleaford Road between Beckingham and Brant Broughton.

The accident, involving a DAF HGV with a blue cab and white trailer and a white VW Golf, occurred shortly after 4.15am this morning.

Police report that the HGV was travelling west towards Beckingham while the Golf was heading east towards Brant Broughton.

Emergency services confirmed the death of the VW Golf driver, a man in his 20s, at the scene. His family has been notified.

Officers are urging anyone who may have seen either vehicle before the crash or who possesses dashcam footage or other information to assist in the investigation.
