Man charged after stolen farm machinery found near Newark

Police pulled over a telehandler with no plates on the A1 and quickly realised it had been taken from a farm in Lincolnshire.

Police have recovered stolen farm machinery near Newark after stopping a suspicious vehicle on the A1.

Officers discovered the telehandler had been stolen from a Lincolnshire farm and returned it to the owner, who hadn’t realised it was missing.

Lee Severn, who’s 48 and from Newark, has been charged and will appear in court in August.
