Man Charged After Police Pursuit and Seizure of Suspected Stolen Goods in North Lincolnshire

A man has been charged following a police pursuit involving a suspected cloned vehicle in North Lincolnshire.

Officers from the Kinetic Roads Crime team spotted the vehicle in Keadby heading towards Scunthorpe at around 12.40pm on Thursday, 29 May. When requested to stop, the driver failed to do so, leading to a short pursuit.

Following the stop, officers carried out a search of the vehicle and recovered suspected stolen items, including food and clothing, believed to be worth approximately £1,500.

Jacob Smith, aged 59, of Millfield Lane, Stainforth, has been charged with failing to stop for police, driving without insurance, driving while disqualified, dangerous driving, and two counts of shop theft.

He has been remanded into custody and is due to appear at Grimsby Magistrates’ Court today (Friday, 30 May).
