A man who trapped, raped and assaulted a woman in his house for hours has been jailed for 16 years.
46-year-old Malik Shazad, who's from Scunthorpe, has been found guilty of rape, false imprisonment and assault.
Grimsby Crown Court heard how Shazad locked a woman in a house on Berkeley Street overnight and raped her for hours.

When she attempted to call the police, he grabbed her phone and threw it whilst continuing to assault her.
Shazhad was immediately arrested after the woman reported the incident to the police on 7th July 2021.
He denied the allegations and said the victim was lying.
