Lincolnshire Police placed in Level Three of national performance system
Additional support granted under new framework
Lincolnshire Police has been assigned to Level Three under the newly implemented Policing Performance System by His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Services (HMICFRS).
This assignment reflects serious systemic performance concerns requiring additional support to address several critical areas.
Under the previous system, Lincolnshire Police had been subject to enhanced monitoring since December 2024, categorized under Engage.
Now placed in Level Three, the force will receive targeted support to resolve the outstanding causes of concern.
These include achieving target attendance times for calls, improving investigation supervision, understanding demand, formulating strategic plans, and enhancing investigations into child abuse and exploitation.
Inspector Roy Wilsher underscored the framework's design to strengthen performance assessments and deliver early support for improvements.
Forces identified with significant and lasting issues will develop improvements plans, supported by the College of Policing.
Lincolnshire Police's position in Level Three illustrates a critical need for sustained intervention, and the force is expected to work alongside national bodies to boost performance and better serve its community.
