Lincoln man charged with attempted murder

A man from Lincoln has been charged with attempted murder.

Police were called to a report of a woman being stabbed at a property in Sincil Bank, Lincoln, at 12.54pm on Wednesday 27 August.

Officers were deployed and medical assistance was administered to the woman at the scene, who was taken to hospital with serious injuries where she remains in a stable condition. The people involved are known to each other.

51 year-old Shibu Mathews, of Sincil Bank, Lincoln, appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court today where he was remanded into custody until a later court appearance.
