Large outdoor fire at Stapleford Wood
Nine fire crews are at the scene
Eight crews from Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue and one from Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue, are currently in attendance at a large outdoor fire at Stapleford Wood, Coddington Lane.
The incident was called in at 12.40pm today (11 August) and remains ongoing.
Approximately 1000sqm of grass, undergrowth and woodland is on fire.
Firefighters are working to contain and control the incident.
Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue advises that everyone avoid the area wherever possible and local residents keep windows and doors closed.
Attending crews are from Grantham, Woodhall Spa, Lincoln North (x2), Lincoln South, Sleaford, Bourne, Horncastle and Collingham (Nottinghamshire FRS).
