Police in Lincoln are investigating a case where counterfeit money was used to purchase a ring from Facebook Marketplace.

The incident, reported on 18th October 2025, involved a man who paid with fake £20 notes at a collection point in Lincoln.

Authorities are now appealing for help to identify a man who may hold vital information for the investigation.

The man is described as white, with short brown, greying hair, and a small amount of facial hair of the same colour.

At the time, he was seen wearing a blue coat and black trousers.

Various inquiries have been conducted, and police are urging anyone who can identify the man or knows his whereabouts to come forward.
