Hull man guilty of eight counts of sexual touching against young girls

A 39-year-old from Hull, has been found guilty of multiple sexual offences against four young girls.
Daniel Tranmer faced eight counts of sexual touching against a girl under 13 and one count against a boy under 13 at a nine-day trial at Hull Crown Court, which concluded yesterday (26 March).
The investigation began in November 2022 when a third-party report raised concerns about the welfare of a young girl, who disclosed being indecently touched by Tranmer.
Following her brave account, Tranmer was arrested, denied all allegations, and described the incidents as accidental during interviews.
While detectives continued their investigation, additional reports emerged concerning similar non-recent incidents dating back to 2009, involving three more victims naming Tranmer as the perpetrator.
Tranmer was charged, and a unanimous jury found him guilty of offences against the four girls.
He remains on conditional bail until his sentencing at Hull Crown Court on 8th May 2026.
Detective Rebecca Davison from the Protecting Vulnerable People unit led the investigation, commending the victims' bravery in coming forward.
"I would like to start by commending the bravery of the young victims for reporting the abuse Tranmer had subjected them to," Detective Davison said.
She added, "It has been a lengthy and complex investigation, but it is thanks to their courage that he is being held accountable for his despicable sexual deviancy.
"While this result will not take away the suffering they continue to face, I am glad he has now been found guilty and will face the consequences of his actions when he is sentenced in May."
