Grimsby man jailed for over three years for dealing Class A drugs
Police found heroin and cocaine worth more than £13,000 during a search of his home
A man from Grimsby has been jailed for more than three years after admitting to supplying Class A drugs across the town.
25-year-old Aydyn Richie, of Julian Street, appeared at Grimsby Crown Court yesterday (Monday, 1 September) where he was sentenced to three years and four months behind bars.
Richie pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs after officers uncovered heroin and cocaine with an estimated street value of £13,100.
He was first arrested in June following reports of affray. While in custody, police found two mobile phones, including a burner phone linked to drug supply. A search of his home later uncovered cash, cannabis and high-value designer items believed to have been bought through criminal activity.
Detective Inspector Tom Kelly said the sentencing showed the force’s commitment to tackling drug-related crime in North East Lincolnshire:
“This is another warning to those who supply drugs in the community that you will be held to account for your actions. Thanks to swift action and thorough investigation, Richie is now behind bars.”
