A 78-year-old man has been arrested following a police raid on a property in Grimsby this morning (Thursday, 2 October).

Officers from the Grimsby East Neighbourhood Policing Team, working with the Kinetic Intervention Team, executed a Misuse of Drugs Act warrant at an address on Convamore Road.

Inside, they discovered the remains of a suspected cannabis grow, a quantity of class A drugs, and evidence of dangerously abstracted electricity.

The man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs and remains in police custody while enquiries continue.

Police are urging anyone with concerns about drug activity in their community to get in touch.
