Residents in Great Ponton and surrounding areas are experiencing ongoing water supply issues as both the main and backup pumps have failed, leading to very low water pressure or no water at all say Anglian Water.

The issue is causing interruptions and fluctuations in water supply while essential repairs are being carried out.

Repair teams are working continuously to resolve the problem, although the complexity of the repairs means it will take several days to complete.

To ensure the work is carried out safely, Gorse Lane and Wyville Road have been closed, causing further disruption in the area.

"We apologise for the disruption and thank you for your patience while we complete this essential work," a spokesperson said.
