Teenage boy dies after Wainfleet crash

It's been reported that a car came off the road

Lincolnshire police are urging any witnesses to contact them as they investigate

A 17-year old-boy has died after a car reportedly came off the road near Wainfleet yesterday (26th October).

The crash happened at the junction of Burgh Road and Scald Gate, with emergency services called out just after 9.30am.

A woman who was also in the car has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Officers are urging anyone who saw what happened to contact them, quoting incident 129 of 26 October.

A Lincolsnhire police spokesperson said, "We are saddened to confirm that a 17-year-old man has tragically died following a collision near to Wainfleet today (Sunday 26 October 2025).

"Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and loved ones at this very sad time. His family are being supported by specially trained officers.

"A female passenger has been transferred to hospital with injuries described as potentially life changing.

"We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed or recorded dash cam footage of the moments leading up to this single vehicle collision involving a white Volkswagen Polo.

"Emergency services were called to the incident just after 9.30am at the junction of Burgh Road and Scald Gate on Old Fen Bank, Wainfleet St Mary.

"If you have not yet spoken with officers and have information that might assist our investigation, please get in touch."
