Inquest opened after the death of a Father and Daughter at a Caravan Park

Lee and Esme parker died at the Golden Beach holiday park in Ingoldmells

An inquest has opened into the deaths of a father and his 10-year-old daughter at the Golden Beach holiday park in Ingoldmells, Lincolnshire

Esme Baker and 48-year-old Lee Baker, from Retford in Nottinghamshire, were staying at the at the Caravan park near Skegness in Lincolnshire, when a fire broke out in the early hours of Saturday 5 April.

Unfortunately, both Lee and Esme died at the scene.

Inquests opened at Greater Lincolnshire Coroner’s Court today, with Coroner Paul Smith saying their deaths were caused by "inhalation of products of combustion".

The inquests were adjourned, with a further hearing scheduled for 5 October.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Service has previously said the fire was accidental and had not been caused by an electrical fault.
