The mother of a nine-year-old girl who died from a stab wound in Boston last July is holding a public meeting this evening to discuss safety in the town,

It will allow locals to highlight their fears and concerns,

A panel including MP Matt Warman, Pat Coates from Lincolnshire police and the Leader of Boston Borough Council will be attending.

It follows concerns about the number of offences which have happened in the town particularly those involving violence.

We can come away with some positive actions

We spoke to the Reverend Dr Val Ogden is the Minister at the Centenary Methodist Church, where the meeting is being held.

She told us: "Whoever comes to the meeting I hope they feel their voice has been heard".

"They are making a contribution to making it a better Boston and we can go away with some positive actions for the sake of Boston."

"I love the way I meet so many people with good hearts that want build up the town and want to avoid some of terrible stereotyping about Boston."

We want to be involved in anything promoting peace, joy and safety

"We'd just like the community to come together and say what their concerns are about making Boston an even more beautiful town and an even more safe town."

"Anything that's to do with promoting peace and joy and love and safety on the streets of Boston as a church we'd want to be involved in that."

"I love the diversity of the town, I love the way there are many partnerships and networks across the town."
