Urgent repair work for exposed sea wall in Cleethorpes
40-metres of the sea wall has become exposed and cracks have been identified
Urgent repair work on an exposed and cracked sea wall in Cleethorpes is starting today (23rd February).
Sand levels adjacent to the Humberston Fitties coastal embankment have reduced due to recent adverse weather conditions and high tides.
40-metres of the sea wall has become exposed and cracks have been identified.
Urgent repair work will strengthen the wall with concrete and rock.
North East Lincolnshire Council hope the works will be completed this week.
There are no planned road closures, but people in the area are being urged to take care around construction vehicles.
Dog owners are also being asked to keep dogs on leads.
