Police are appealing for eyewitnesses after a young child was discovered in the water at Boutham Park in Lincoln.
Officers were called to the area at around 9.20pm on Thursday (21 August), where the child was discovered.
The child sustained minor injuries and has been taken to hospital for checks.
A teenager - a male - has been arrested in connection with the incident.
A scene guard is in place in the area and investigations are taking place to determine the sequence of events that led to the child ending up in the water.
Police want to talk to anyone who was in the park at the time, heard anything suspicious or saw or heard a baby.
Any detail, no matter how small, could prove crucial.
