Dispersal order in place in Boston ahead of Saturday's Boston United match
It covers much of the town, including the Jakemans Stadium
A dispersal order has been authorised in Boston ahead of Saturday's Boston United home game in the National League against Scunthorpe United.
The order runs from 10am until 10pm on Saturday 31st October.
It covers much of the town, including the Jakemans Stadium.
It has been authorised following concerns that some people may be planning to cause disruption.
The order gives officers the power to require people to leave a specified area if they are contributing, or are likely to contribute, to harassment, alarm, distress or crime and disorder.
Failure to comply with a direction to leave is an arrestable offence.
Police said members of the public should be able to enjoy their community, or their visit to Boston, without fear of being involved in or witnessing disruption or disorder.
