Appeal after HGV fails to stop following collision on the A1 near Colsterworth

Police seeking witnesses after crash involving light pink lorry on Friday evening

Lincolnshire Police are investigating a crash involving a heavy goods vehicle and a car on the A1 northbound near Colsterworth.

The collision happened shortly before 6pm on 19th December and involved a white Ford Focus and an HGV described as light pink.

Both vehicles were travelling northbound when the HGV, which was in lane two, moved into lane one and collided with the Ford Focus.

The car came to rest in a nearby layby, while the driver of the HGV continued without stopping.

Fortunately, nobody was badly injured in the collision.

Appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage

Officers are now appealing for anyone who may have been driving along the A1 at the time to come forward if they witnessed the crash or have dashcam footage that could help identify the HGV involved.
