Cuboid Self Storage is inviting members of the public to visit the world’s largest charity advent calendar at their Head Office in Chorley next week.

The 34ft high festive creation, made up of 24 steel shipping containers decorated with numbered doors and lights, has been spreading Christmas cheer since the start of December as part of a campaign donating gifts to support thousands of children and families across Lancashire.

Visitors can drop off their own gifts in support of Cash for Kids’ Mission Christmas and be entered into a prize draw.

The advent calendar will be open for public visits on Monday 15th, 16th, 17th, and 18th December 2025, between 4pm and 8pm.

Supporting families

Tim Knowles, Managing Director at Cuboid Self Storage, expressed pride in the project, saying:

“It’s an honour and a privilege to support families and people in need this Christmas. The whole Cuboid team that worked on this have done a great job, and I’m really proud of the result.”

The initiative collects enough presents daily to make Christmas morning special for many children across the region, working alongside charities such as Chorley Youth Zone, Endeavour Project in Bolton, and Millbank Wellbeing in Preston.

Mission Christmas partnership

Cuboid Self Storage’s Head Office has also become Lancashire HQ for Cash for Kids’ Mission Christmas campaign.

Laura Charlton, Regional Charity Manager for Mission Christmas, highlighted how vital the support is for struggling families:

“With this help from Cuboid Self Storage, we’re able to provide a range of gifts per child. It may sound simple, but it makes a real difference to help kids feel included, supported, and celebrated over the festive season.”
