Woman dies after collision with vehicle in St Helens

The 25-year-old pedestrian was taken to hospital after colliding with a white Suzuki Vitara, but died two days later

A 25-year-old woman has died following a collision in St Helens last week.

A white Suzuki Vitara motor vehicle collided with a female pedestrian on Clock Face Road at 5:35pm on Monday 3 November.

The woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where she later died on Wednesday 5 November.

Merseyside Police are supporting her family whilst investigations are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the incident.

The driver of the Suzuki Vitara stopped at the scene and is assisting the police with enquiries.

Detective Sergeant Simon Duffy said:

"Our thoughts remain with her family as they continue to grieve this tragic loss."

"The collision occurred on a busy stretch of road, and I appeal for the public’s help by contacting us if you have information which may assist the investigation. If you witnessed the collision or stopped to help, we would like you contact us as soon as possible."
