Two women have been arrested and drugs and cash have been seized following a plain-clothed operation in Leyland.
Two women have been arrested and drugs and cash have been seized following a plain-clothed operation in Leyland.
A spokesperson for Lancashire police said:
"During the operation on Monday, (18th August 2025) officers from the South Ribble Neigbourhood Policing team spotted a vehicle acting suspiciously on Forrester Close, Leyland. Following a search of the vehicle, a substantial amount of cannabis, mobile phones and around £800 in cash was discovered.
"A Section 18 search was then conducted at a house on Bannister Drive and a large amount of what is suspected to be Class A drugs, which has been sent away for testing, along with more cash was also recovered.
"A 52-year-old woman from Leyland and a 48-year-old woman from Chorley were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A and Class B drug. Both have since been released under investigation.
"Operation Warrior is Lancashire Police’s response to tackling serious and organised crime in Lancashire, supported by Police and Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw.
"It aims to target the individuals and gangs involved in crime, as well as associated issues such as violence and intimidation, large scale drug supply, exploitation, and fraud, all of which can cause serious harm to local communities."
