Two seriously injured after car crashes into tree in Blackburn
Police appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage following Whalley Old Road collision

Police are appealing for witnesses and footage after a man and woman in their 50s were seriously injured in a crash in Blackburn.
Officers were called to Whalley Old Road at around 1:45pm on Friday, 13 February, following reports that a white Mercedes C250 travelling towards Lark Hill had left the road, crossed a grass verge, and collided with a tree.
The driver and passenger were both taken to hospital with serious injuries, where they remain.
Sergeant Stuart Hart, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said the force is in the early stages of its investigation.
He said:
“A man and woman have been left with serious injuries following this collision and our thoughts remain with them and their loved ones at this time.
“We are in the early stages of our investigation, and I am appealing directly to you, the public, for your assistance. If you have dashcam or CCTV footage of the collision, please do get in touch with us.”
