Two motorcyclists seriously injured after collision in Bacup

Two motorbike riders have been seriously injured after a collision in Bacup.

The incident involved a woman in her 50s and a man in his 40s, their injuries aren’t thought to be life threatening.

This was reported on Burnley Road, at around 1:50pm on Friday.

Sgt Chris Evans of our Road Policing Unit said: “Two people have suffered some significant injuries, and enquiries are ongoing to determine exactly how the collision occurred.

“We need to ask for your assistance with a vital part of those enquiries. If you were driving in the Bacup Road area and witnessed the collision itself, or any of the vehicles prior to the collision, we would be really keen to speak to you.

“Equally, if you have CCTV or dashcam footage that could aid our enquires, please get in touch.”
