Two men arrested on suspicion of kidnap in Blackburn
Lancashire Police are appealing for witnesses as part of an investigation into reports of assault and kidnap
Two men have been arrested in connection with reports of assault and kidnap in Blackburn.
Police were called by colleagues from the North West Ambulance Service at 8.47pm on Saturday 9th August to the Vue Cinema, Blackburn, to a report of assault.
When the officers turned up they found that a man - aged in his 20s - had been assaulted, and a woman - aged in her 20s - taken against her will from the cinema. She was located safely later that evening.
Two men, aged 37 and 22, have been arrested on suspicion of section 18 grievous bodily harm and kidnap, and are currently in custody.
Lancashire Police said:
"Even though two arrests have been made, our investigation is very much ongoing, and detectives are appealing for anyone who at the Vue Cinema on Saturday evening between 7.30pm and 8.40pm and saw what happened or saw anything suspicious, to come forward and speak to us.
