Two men have been jailed for over 11 years combined, after robbing a man in his own home in Blackpool.

Paul Judson-Jones and Michael Johnson, who was at large from prison at the time, carried out the robbery at an address on Airedale Avenue on 19th November 2025.

Preston Crown Court heard the pair were wearing balaclavas when they tried the door handle of the house at around 11am.

The homeowner opened the door after hearing the noise and immediately tried to shut and lock it.

Judson-Jones and Johnson forced their way in.

When the victim tried to call the police, Judson-Jones hit him on the head twice with a knuckleduster. The pair then pinned him down and stole his phone.

He was left with a large cut to his head and a cut elbow.

Johnson was arrested two days later in Blackpool, whilst Judson-Jones was arrested in February this year after a police appeal.

Judson-Jones, 39, of Park Road, Blackpool, has been jailed for six years with a three year extended licence. He previously pleaded guilty to robbery.

Johnson, 34, of Dewhurst Avenue, Blackpool, has been jailed for five years and eight months with a three year extended licence. He previously admitted robbery and being unlawfully at large from prison.
