Trains cancelled by landslide between Bolton and Blackburn
Services will run at a slower speed through the rest of the day
Trains have been cancelled between Bolton and Blackburn following a landslip at Darwen, National Rail has said.
The landslip disrupted services on Monday morning (27 January), forcing trains from Manchester Victoria to Blackburn to divert via Todmorden.
A replacement bus service ran between Blackburn and Bolton during the busy rush hour, with the problem cleared at around 10am.
However, operator Northern said trains would be forced to run at a reduced speed for the rest of the day.
