Teenager and 12-year-old arrested after fire at former Central Club

The blaze at the derelict building broke out on Saturday

Police in Lancashire have confirmed two people have been arrested on suspicion of arson, following a fire at a derelict building in Blackpool.

Firefighters were called to Kent Street, to the former Central Club, at around 3pm on Saturday (21 June).

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service remain at the scene and are asking residents to continue to avoid the area.

Police have since confirmed a 12-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man have both been arrested.

Both have been bailed pending further enquiries.

The force are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with more information to come forward.
