Teenager treated after Preston stabbing

A teenager's been treated in hospital after he was stabbed in Preston.

Police were called to Ingleton Road around 7.20pm last night (Tue 17 Mar), they say his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A Section 60 and Section 60AA order has been in place in the city overnight giving officers extra stop and search powers in an area including Grange, Brookfield, Homeslack, Fishwick and Ribbleton) it also gives police the right to remove any face coverings which are being worn.

A man aged 40 has been held on suspicion of possessing a bladed article in a public place - this is not in relation to the stabbing and the Lancashire force is asking anyone with information about that to get in touch.
