A man found with an estimated £2.5 million-worth of cocaine in his boot on the M6 near Garstang has been jailed.

33-year-old Stuart Wilson was sentenced to five years in jail after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine.

The stop and search happened in August last year.

Officers spotted a grey BMW M3 Competition travelling north on the M6, reaching speeds of over 100mph.

The car was stopped on Stubbins Lane.

Officers said Wilson was acting nervous and asked if he was going to jail.

He told officers there was something in the boot but he didn't know what it was.

That's where officers found 25kg of cocaine.
