A Section 34 dispersal order has been implemented in parts of Burnley until this evening, as a response to an ongoing protest with potential for disorder.

The order, which commenced at 7.45pm on Saturday, 13th June, will remain in force for 24 hours.

Granted under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014, the order empowers officers to disperse individuals to reduce the chances of public harassment, alarm, distress, or crime and disorder.

Residents can view the designated areas affected by the order on the provided map.

The local authorities aim to ensure public safety and minimise disturbances during the protest.
