Blackburn Rovers winger Ryan Hedges could be out for the entire season after a leg injury.

Hedges suffered a fractured fibula during their New Year's Day fixture against Wrexham.

He's to undergo surgery, where the extent of his injuries will be revealed.

Blackburn's boss Valerien Ismael has said that he'll be out for a minimum of eight weeks, but it could be up to sixteen.

If he's out for even longer, Ismael says they'll need to make a decision on the transfer market.

He said the worst case scenario is Hedges being out for the rest of the season.
