Women connected to child injury investigation in Rochdale
Two women have been arrested in Blackburn following an investigation into a child's serious injury in Rochdale.
The women, aged 19 and 20, were taken into custody on Sunday, 23rd August, on suspicion of causing serious injury to a child.
Police were called to Spotland Tops in Rochdale after receiving a report concerning a child's welfare at around 4.16pm on Saturday, 22nd August.
Emergency services attended the scene, and the child was transported to hospital for treatment.
He remains in critical condition.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.
