A man in his 20s is in a critical condition after a car collided with him on Port Way in Preston.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with a head injury after reports he'd been hit by a van this morning (31st October).

A Lancashire police spokesperson said, "We are appealing for CCTV and dashcam footage following a serious collision in Preston.

"Our officers were called to Port Way at 8.23am today (31st October) following reports a Merecedes Box Van had collided with a pedestrian.

"The pedestrian, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with a head injury. His condition is described as critical."
