Pilling man jailed for indecent images and violating prevention order
Three-year sentence given for multiple offences
A registered sex offender from Pilling has been sentenced to three years in jail following the discovery of indecent images of children and extreme pornography on his devices.
Frazer McDonald had been under a sexual harm prevention order since 2017 through a London court, following prior offences involving indecent images of children.
His latest arrest occurred in August last year after Lancashire Police received information regarding new offences.
Devices seized during the arrest revealed child abuse images involving very young children and extreme pornography.
Breaches of McDonald's sexual harm prevention order included failing to present a smartphone for inspection and using an unregistered online name with police.
Additionally, police found him in possession of crystal meth, a Class A drug, during a monitoring visit.
McDonald, 56, who previously lived at Glenfield Leisure Park, Smallwood Hey Road, appeared at Preston Crown Court on 6th August.
He pleaded guilty to multiple offences, including making indecent images of children, possessing prohibited images and extreme pornography, breaching prevention orders, and possession of drugs.
The judge also imposed a 10-year sexual harm prevention order and sex offender notification requirements.
Detective Constable Adam Weaver commented: "Frazer McDonald displayed a total disregard to the sexual harm prevention order and sex offender notification requirements."
The investigation was a collaboration between MOSOVO West and the sexual exploitation team in Lancaster, plus digital forensics, culminating in the incarceration of a high-risk individual.
