Man charged with attempted murder after woman stabbed in home

Emergency services were called out to Church in Lancashire on the weekend

A 39-year-old man charged with attempted murder after a woman was stabbed in her home in Lancashire has been named.

Pawel Skros, of Warwick Street in Church has been remanded into custody until he next appears at Preston Crown Court on 15th April.

Officers were called to Warwick Street at 10.40am on 15th March.

A woman in her 30s was found with a number of stab wounds inside.

She was taken to hospital in a serious condition.

Skros was arrested close to the scene.

Officers are continuing to appeal for any information that could help in the investigation.
