Man charged with attempted murder after woman stabbed at Poulton-le-Fylde crematorium

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman was stabbed at Carleton Crematorium in Poulton-le-Fylde.

Police were called at around 6.45pm on Tuesday 7 April following reports that a woman had been attacked at the crematorium on Stocks Lane.

A woman in her 30s is recovering after she was repeatedly stabbed during a shocking attack at a crematorium in Poulton-le-Fylde.

The victim was assaulted at Carleton Crematorium on Stocks Lane on Tuesday evening and, despite suffering multiple stab wounds, her injuries were later confirmed as not life-threatening.

A man was arrested a short time later in connection with the incident and has now been charged.

Shaun Holt, 34, of Edmonton Place, Blackpool, has been charged with attempted murder.

He was due to appear at Lancaster Magistrates’ Court (Thursday 9 April) at 10am.

Police are continuing to appeal for information.
