Emergency services dealing with mutli-vehicle collision on M6

Lancashire Police are working with air ambulance services at the scene

Emergency services across Lancashire are dealing with a multi-vehicle collision on the M6 near Preston.

Officers from Lancashire Police were alerted to an incident taking place between Junctions 32 and 33 just after 10:27am on Monday morning (July 14th).

Responders arrived at the scene a short time later and have since closed the motorway in both directions between Junctions 32 and 34.

Lancashire Police remain at the scene, together with both land and air ambulances in order to tend to those affected.

Road traffic that has been caught in the road closure is being released, according to National Highways.

Officers have confirmed that investigations are underway, though they remain at an early stage, with other emergency services.
