A man has been jailed after burgling a vets practice in Colne.

42-year-old Michael Dwyer has been sentenced to eight months in jail.

Officers were called out to the Stanley House Veterinary Practice on Albert Road on Saturday 17th January.

They received reports that it had been broken into at around 5.05am.

Officers arrested Dwyer around 25 minutes later on Stanley Street.

£380 from the burglary was found in his underwear.

He pleaded guilty to burglary of a non-dwelling.
