Man threatens staff and steals cash in Darwen shop robbery

Lancashire Police are appealing for information to find a man who committed a robbery at a shop in Darwen.

It happened at approximately 8.25pm on Monday evening (June 20) at the Co-Op store on Blackburn Road.

The man went into the shop and picked up a case of lager from a display stack near before approaching the checkout.

After placing the case on the till area, he produced a weapon and threatened a staff member.

He then forced his way into the till area, demanded money before taking an undisclosed amount of cash and fleeing from the shop.

The suspect is described as being a while male, approximately 6ft and of medium build, wearing a black Nike Hoodie, black shorts and a black baseball cap.
