A man who was hit by a car in Chorley last month's died in hospital.

The victim in his 70s suffered head injuries in the collision at lunchtime on Friday 20th March at Lyons Lane.

Sergeant Laura Kendall, from Lancashire Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said, "As a result of this collision a man has lost his life and my thoughts are very much with his loved ones at this distressing time.

"A number of enquiries have been carried out since the initial collision, however work is still ongoing to establish the full circumstances which led to it. As such, I would ask any witnesses, or anybody who has dashcam or CCTV footage which would assist us with our enquiries, to contact the police as soon as possible."
