Man in critical condition after M55 crash

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage, after a serious crash on the M55, which left a man with serious injuries.

The collision happened at approximately 9.40pm yesterday (Wednesday, October 1st).

The incident involved a single vehicle, a grey Nissan Qashqai, which exited the westbound carriageway at Junction 2 and collided with the roundabout at the end of the slip road. The vehicle left the carriageway and came to rest in a field adjacent to Edith Rigby Way.

The driver, a man in his 20s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital where his condition is described as critical.

Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who:

• Witnessed the collision or saw the vehicle prior to the incident.

• Has dashcam footage from the area around the time of the collision.
