Man charged with murder of baby boy in Preston

A man has been charged with the murder of a baby boy in Fulwood.

Officers were called to Squires Wood in June 2022, to reports that a six-week-old baby had been taken to hospital with a head injury.

Detectives have now named the boy as Huxley Sayle.

He died a month after the incident on 14th July 2022, his cause of death was traumatic head injury.

On 18th June 2022, Peter Sayle from Fulwood was arrested on suspicion of Section 18 Wounding.

The 31-year-old was last night (27th March 2025) re-arrested on suspicion of murder.

He was remanded into custody to appear at Preston Magistrates Court.
