Man charged following reports of a racist attack in Blackpool

He is due in court later this week

A man has been charged following reports of a racist attack at Pizzaland in Blackpool.

Officers say a worker there was threatened with violence and racially abused back in March

52-year-old Michael George has now been charged with a Racially aggravated public order offence.

Lancashire police stated:

"Following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, Michael George aged 52 of Furness Avenue Blackpool has been charged with a Racially aggravated public order offence. He is scheduled to appear at Lancaster Magistrates court 5th June."
