A man has been charged with arson after reports of a house explosion in a village near Blackpool.

Lancashire Police were called to reports from the fire service of a fire at a property on Carr Lane, Hambleton, at 9.55am on Friday 27 March.

Darren Davies, 54, of Carr Lane, Hambleton has been charged with arson with recklessness as to whether life was endangered.

He has been remanded to appear at Lancaster Magistrates’ Court on Monday 30th March.
