Three teenagers jailed after Blackpool stabbing

Three teenagers have been jailed after a man was seriously injured in a stabbing in Blackpool.

Emergency services were called to the junction of Stan Mortensen Avenue and Princess Street shortly after midnight on Tuesday 28 October 2025 following reports of an assault.

A local man in his 30s suffered multiple stab wounds and was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He has since recovered.

Three teenagers, who were aged 16, 17 and 17 at the time, were arrested.

They were initially charged with attempted murder.

Sentences

The teenagers appeared at Preston Crown Court on Friday (17 July):

  • A 17-year-old has been jailed for four years after being found guilty of Section 18 wounding with intent
  • Mackenzie Feenie, 18, of Bond Street, has been jailed for 23 months after being found guilty of Section 20 wounding
  • Another 17-year-old has been jailed for three years and six months after already pleading guilty to Section 18 wounding

Police statement

Detective Chief Inspector Jill Vescovi, of Lancashire Police's Force Major Investigation Team, said: “This incident left the victim with some really serious injuries, and this could easily have become a murder investigation.

"This goes to show the life changing consequences that using a knife can have – both for victims but also those who carry them."
