Suspicious blaze near Scout Moor under investigation

A large moorland fire near the Scout Moor wind turbines in Lancashire is currently under investigation after being treated as suspicious by police.

The blaze, located close to Gin Croft Lane near Edenfield, broke out on Monday 23rd March and required the combined efforts of Lancashire and Greater Manchester fire crews overnight.

Challenged by windy conditions, firefighters worked diligently to bring the situation under control.

A joint investigation into the fire's cause, from Lancashire Police and Lancashire Fire & Rescue continues.

No arrests have been made.
